When
it comes to thoroughness, attention to melody, harmony, groove sonic
deliciousness, Benjy King is one of the few producers that I would
trust with a music project, especially for artists that are adventurous
and want to discover new musical frontiers while being presented
as the best artist he/she can be. Will Lee – Bassist/David

I
worked with Benjy King for eight years. He is the most musical and
inventive producer that I have ever worked with. He is wonderful
at nurturing an artist and guiding him/her through the demanding
process of creating commercially successful music. He is also unsurpassed
at spotting a good song and then boosting it to the next level with
a tasteful arrangement. He has my vote. Lincoln Clapp –

I've
known Benjy King for over 20 years and he has been one of the most
influential and inspiring people in my life. I would not be in this
business if it were not for him. When I think of Benjy as a musician
or producer, genius comes to mind. When I think of him as an engineer,
well, he rates up there with some of the best. To have him as a
close friend and mentor, I couldn't be more blessed. Benjy is one
of the most talented guys on this planet and would be an asset to
have on your roster. Andrew Coleman - Grammy Award Winning

| Over
the years I have had many opportunities to record with Benjy King
in various settings. I say various settings because he is such a
very well rounded producer/engineer who is comfortable, and extremely
creative, working in Rock & Roll, Jazz, Pop, R&B and Country.
Over the years Benjy and I have found ourselves side by side at
the console listening to playback so many times that we have an
almost telepathic way of communicating with each other. More to
the point, he seems to know EXACTLY what needs to be done after
each listen. He possesses an uncanny knowledge of what to do, in
every situation, to bring the music of the moment up a few notches.
"Let's change the kick drum pattern here," or "David,
play that bass note up an octave on beat three of the verse,"
or, "let's change the mic on the snare and run it again guys".
These are the kinds of things that cannot be overlooked when assessing
someone's contributing force during an important recording. Benjy
is the man! David Santos - Bassist Crosby Stills &
Nash, John Fogerty, Billy Joel, Elton John, Phoebe Snow, The Neville
Brothers, James Taylor, Jimmy Buffett |

I
have worked with Benjy King for over 20 years, as his engineer,
and also had the pleasure of performing with him. He is an accomplished
musician, producer, engineer, arranger, and vocalist and knows how
to get things done. As a producer he has found and developed raw
talent bringing them to the next level. I always look forward to
a session with Benjy at Red Rock Recording Studio. Kent

I
have known Benjy King for many years, and have worked with him in
all kinds of situations as a fellow musician, a music director/conductor,
and producer/engineer. I’ve always considered Benjy a consummate
hands-on music producer, equally at home with complex musical
arrangements, the technical nuts and bolts of modern recording/engineering,
and the people skills to deal with anything that comes his way in
terms of artists, musicians, and business people. Benjy is comfortable
with a wide variety of pop and rock musical genres, and I’ve always
known him to be a very hard worker, who never settles for less than
the best performance from himself and his colleagues. Crispin
Cioe - Sax player/composer/producer (co-founder of the Uptown
Horns, toured with the Rolling Stones on “Steel Wheels”, solo on
James Brown’s “Living in America”, Music Director of the Mark Twain
Awards for PBS/Kennedy Center, etc.) |

From
the first day of producing my album to its final mastering, Benjy
brought a dedication and enthusiasm that never wavered. His thorough
technical knowledge of equipment both modern and antique is remarkable.
And those engineering skills combined with his extraordinary musical
abilities as producer, arranger and player make him a unique and
rare find. Jeff Jacobson – Recording Artist |

Benjy's
extensive knowledge of music, musical equipment and production is
amazing. I believe this comes from all his years of 'complete hands
on' with all the aspects of writing, performing and producing music.
Benjy is one of the most conscientious, hard working people I've
ever known. He settles for nothing less than exactly what his vision
is, regardless of how long it takes or what is involved in completing
the process. What else can I say? Benjy is the real deal and that
is extremely hard to find, especially in these times. Russ

Over
the past 25 years I have played guitar on many, many recordings
that Benjy King has produced. He has great instincts for getting
‘The Best’ from an artist. His talents include all aspects of the
recording process from song selection, arranging, engineering, and
playing keyboards, guitar and bass, to mixing. In working with him
a big plus in the experience is the enthusiasm he brings to each
project that translates greatly to the final recording. Keith

Benjy
King is a Producer/Engineer who has worked with some of the greats
of our time. Taking advice from these legends and also using the
valuable people skills that a self made man usually inherits, Benjy
has maintained a recording studio in Manhattan for the last 20 years.
Aside from his obvious engineering know-how, Benjy also has impressive
production and arrangement skills. With an eye constantly on detail,
he strives to improve the strength of the song and recording while
managing the artist's desires and temperaments. Knowing how to work
this way is not only important...it's almost a prerequisite. Brian

I
had the wonderful experience of having Benjy King produce, arrange
and engineer my CD ‘Tumbling Years’. I heard another artist’s record
that Benjy produced and new instantly he was the person I wanted
for mine. Not only is Benjy King a brilliant arranger, he is also
an excellent musician. I knew deep down my songs were special and
Benjy knew exactly how to make them shine. In the studio, he was
extremely caring and approached each recording session with an open
freshness along with an incredible ear for sonic detail. Benjy settles
for nothing but the best and gets the most out of the artists he
works with. No compromises. Benjy King is a multi-instrumentalist
and his knowledge of instrumentation is second to none. His innate
musicality and knowledge of musical styles is impressive. It is
my hope that I once again find myself in the studio with Benjy.

Recording
and working with Benjy King is always a unique experience. Benjy's
approach to making records is something that is hard to find in
music industry. To begin with, in most studios getting a drum sound
can take a very long time. With Benjy it's so fast that we actually
begin recording before I finish my coffee. He makes the drums sound
natural and organic but also gets a very up to date sound at the
same time. Getting the perfect bass drum pattern is also something
that amazes me. Benjy seems to find the right pattern for every
song and bring energy to it. For me the snare drum is the voice
of the drummer and also a very big part of an Album sound. Benjy
always makes the right choice whether it's a deep snare for a rock
tune or a warm wood snare for a ballad. Eran Asias – New
York session drummer |
